Cabernet Sauvignon

Sonoma County

2021

Our Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon illustrates the careful vineyard selection from three terroir-driven regions. The high elevation vineyards of Alexander Valley lends lush, fresh red fruit flavors. Knights Valley, the warmest region in Sonoma County, delivers fine, well-integrated tannins. The Sonoma Valley, benefiting from the abundant California sun and cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean, adds approachability and suppleness to the tannic structure and long finish.

Sonoma County

Sonoma County, bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Mayacamas Mountains, is home to some of the most diverse wine appellations in the world, each with their own distinctive terroir.

The Vineyards

The 2021 Wine Spots Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon brings together carefully selected lots from three vineyards planted in the Alexander Valley, Sonoma Valley, and Knights Valley AVAs. The high elevation Alexander Valley vineyard, found in the northern most part of the region, imparts broader, lush fruit to the final blend. The Knights Valley vineyard, planted in the valley floor in the northern most part of the region, benefits from a warmer climate that adds lushness and fine-grained tannins. The final component is Sonoma Valley’s vineyard, where the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean and warm California sun leads to a longer hangtime, developing supple fruit-forward flavors, balanced acidity and lush tannins.
