Chardonnay

Santa Barbara County

2021

Our Santa Barbara Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards planted in limestone and clay loam soils. The result is a Chardonnay that showcases a purity of fruit, balanced acidity, and velvety texture. Delicate notes of tropical fruit are reflected on the palate, with nuances of sweet oak to create a well-balanced Chardonnay.

Santa Barbara County

Santa Barbara, located north of Los Angeles, is the longest transverse valley along the Pacific Ocean’s coastline. The valley’s unique east-west facing direction and cooling maritime influence creates one of the longest growing seasons in California, resulting in an extended hangtime, ideal for Chardonnay wines.

The Vineyards

The grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced from vineyards in the Santa Barbara County. The transverse mountain ranges and valleys, running east-west, draws in the Pacific Ocean’s morning fogs and cool winds, creating one of the world's longest growing seasons. The longer growing season provides ample hang time, allowing Chardonnay wines to develop full, forward fruit flavors and balanced acidity.

Food Pairings

Enjoy with roast chicken, seafood chowders, salmon, white fish and mushroom sauces.

"Yellow straw color. Aromas and flavors of toast points, drawn butter, apple, and white flowers and orange zest with a round, lively, dry medium body and a warming, appealing, medium-length finish that shows touches of yellow apple and melon, lemon cream, buttered and toasted brioche, and rice krispie treats with light oak flavor. A Chardonnay showing exquisite balance; food friendly, and would make a great BTG at many restaurants."
