Garnet color. Fruity aromas and flavors of chocolate cherries, malted milk toffee, watermelon sorbet, and vanilla bean with a silky, bright, fruity full body and a peppery, interesting, medium-long finish displaying overtones of tomato, beet, and grilled pear salad, hint of green peppercorn, cedar, and challa with toothsome, coating tannins and light oak flavor. A lively combination of supple texture, sweet and savory fruit, and a peppery snap at the finish keeps this Pinot interesting.

"Fresh wine! An early release Pinot Noir that’s forward on raspberry and spice, with vibrant acidity, easy oak toast and a long spicy finish that satisfies. No doubt it’ll be hitting the shelves soon -- don’t bet on it being there long."

"Excellent, Highly Recommended. Smoked meat, crushed roses and violet essence are aromatically intriguing. Soft, rich, and expressive, flavors of fresh raspberries gently mesh with lightly herbal tarragon, and a hint of smokiness. The tannins are soft, like buttery leather."

"A dark cherry, toasty oak and fall spice expression that satisfies. There is a nice bright acid streak keeping things knit together through the long finish. Serve this with something from the red meat side. A Platinum Award winner at the 2018 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition."

"Dense, rich and smoky in cherry, bark and clove, this wine is full bodied and inviting, with a big streak of forest floor that's unrelentingly earthy." - Wine Enthusiast, 2018

"Opaque violet color. Fruity aromas of purple fruit, streusel, bramble, and vanilla steamer with a velvety, vibrant, fruity medium body and a medium-length berry jam and toasted crumpet finish with well-integrated, dusty tannins and light oak. A full-bodied, unabashedly fruity pinot noir."

Excellent, Highly Recommended
"A shy aroma of cherries and subtle spice slowly work out of the glass and into the nose, until a playful medley of flavors approaches confidently. Flavors of ripe strawberry, bright cherries, smashed raspberries, and a whisper of oak mingle before a subtly spicy finish."

"Bright medium burnt sienna color. Fruity, minerally aromas of red cherries, cranberry, tree bark, and hint of saffron with a crisp, dry medium-to-full body and a warming, complex, medium-length finish with fruit well-integrated firm tannins and moderate oak. Haunting saffron like note unique and enticing."

Very Good, Strong Recommendation
"Deep black cherry color. Offers toned down aromas of carob, cocoa, fig, leaves. Taste profile is charged with animated, dry flavors of black plum, rhubarb, strawberry jam. Moderate tannins last deep into the silky finish."

"This is a successful Pinot Noir in terms of its lighter style, silkiness and generosity, showing real finesse and delicacy. It’s a tartly acidic wine with delicious flavors of cola and sour cherry candy. Try pairing it with mushroom risotto speckled with crumbled bacon."

Carneros
Pinot Noir
2009

"This is a good wine, textbook Carneros in its dryness, crisp acidity, silky texture and cherry, herb and spice flavors. It's not especially rich, but an elegant Pinot Noir for drinking now."
