Regional Notes
South Australia is the country’s most diverse wine region. The region’s climates, topography and soil compositions allow winemaker Brian Walsh to produce a fresh, fruit-driven Shiraz, Australia’s quintessential wine. Learn more about South Australia.

Vintage Notes
The 2008 vintage in South Australia was dry with hot periods. Very little rainfall during the maturation process ensured proper development of the grapes and varietal characteristics. The heat spikes gave way to mild temperatures in Feburary, allowing for harvest to begin ideal conditions at the end of February.

Winemaking Notes
The Shiraz and Viognier grapes were fermented in static potters and rotary fermenters. Warm temperatures at the onset of fermentation and also 3-5 days post ferment maceration has helped extract soft fleshy tannins and build wine structure.
